Msanii nyota kutoka nchini Marekani Jason Derulo amefunguka sababu zinazofanya mashindano mengi ya uimbaji kushindwa kutoa Mastaa wenye uwezo wa kiushindani wanapoingia kwenye muziki.
Kwenye mahojiano na Billboard, Jason amesema mashindano mengi kama The Voice Chilevision na American Idol hushindwa kutoa Mastaa kwa sababu huzingatia sauti ya msanii pekee na kusahau vitu vya ziada.
Msanii huyo amemtolea mfano msanii Cardi B kuwa alipata umaarufu kabla hata ya kuanza kuimba kwa sababu alikuwa na vitu vya ziada.
“I think a lot of times in these competition-based shows, they’re not looking for a special thing about a person but they’re looking for the best voice. Unfortunately, that is not what makes a star. It’s a special something about somebody that makes a star,” Amesema Jason.
